Global economies performed well in 2023 – with one prominent exception – as supply chains healed, inflation began to recede, and businesses worldwide fought their way back to a semblance of normalcy. But as previous international business risks receded, others promptly arose, from new and often unexpected directions. Geopolitical risks became more widespread and more acute, and risks arising from technological disruption came even more prominently to the fore. International business disputes – in litigation and arbitration – continued to run at a very high rate, and in the trade regulatory space, a burst of sanctions activity in 2022 was compounded by widespread impositions of key export controls in 2023, which will shape the world’s economies for years to come. Join our annual international business risk preview webinar for 2024, where our speaker will address these incipient risks and more, providing practical guidance to help organizations of all sizes manage these challenges.
